Travelling by plane

A Two Weeks Tour of Romania

These journeys contain the transport by plane from the tourists’ native country to Romania, all the program using a coach provided by our agency.

Price/person starting from 615 €
Extra payment for single 170 €
Included
• accommodation and half board and lodging, in 2 and 3 stars hotels;
• all the hotel rooms have phones, TVs and shower baths/ vats;
• travelling by a local coach having its own bar and toilet;
• the trips and entrances to the touristic sights described in the program;
An escorting guide for the whole time of the circuit, speaking the foreign language known by the group.
Facilities: for every 20 paying persons, a free place in a single room is provided.
Special remark: the group will be formed of minimum 20 persons. For the smaller groups, the price can be recalculated.

Through its surface and touristic potential, Romania represents a destination that has much to give to any traveler through these regions. For the tourist who can give two weeks of his free time to a country like Romania, we tried to concentrate the most beautiful and representative places in a 14 days tour.

DAY 1 – the group is taken over by the Romanian guide from the airport of Henri Coandă and taken to Bucharest, for dinner and accommodation.

DAY 2 – after breakfast, we leave for Buzău, where we will visit the touristic region named The Muddy Volcanoes; then, we will take our way from Brăila to Tulcea, for dinner and accommodation.

DAY 3 – a trip by ship in the Danube Delta (we will get through the channels by oars boats and we will have a fishing breakfast on board of the ship); dinner and accommodation, at the same hotel, in Tulcea.

DAY 4 – after breakfast, we leave for Piatra Neamţ. On the way, we will visit the Mausoleum of Mărăşeşti, a monument that was erected in the honor of the soldiers who died during The First World War; dinner and accommodation in a hotel of Piatra Neamţ.

DAY 5 – we advance towards the northern zone of Romania, to the “sweet region of Bucovina”, famous for its monasteries with churches, painted both on the inside and on the outside and declared UNESCO monuments; we will visit the Monastery of Agapia, the Museum of the folk artist Nicolae Popa and the Monastery of Voroneţ. Dinner and accommodation in Câmpulung Moldovenesc.

DAY 6 – today, we will see some other monasteries of the UNESCO patrimony: Moldoviţa and Suceviţa and the Black Ceramics Studio from Marginea. Dinner and accommodation in Câmpulung Moldovenesc.

DAY 7 – after dinner, we will go through the Prislop Gorge towards Maramureş, maybe the most picturesque and full traditions region of the Romania. We will visit the wooden churches from Bogdan Vodă and Bârsana and the Merry Cemetery from Săpânţa; we will spend the night in Satu-Mare.

DAY 8 – this day, we will meet some of the cities located near the border with Hungary. Our first stopover will be in Oradea, where is a nice center with elements of Jungian style. Then, we will go to Arad and our final destination -Timişoara.

DAY 9 – the next location is Sibiu, the city where we will stay for two nights. Before getting to Sibiu, we will visit the citadel of Alba-Iulia and the city of Sibiel, with its famous museum of glass icons. Also, in the city of Sibiel, we will have our dinner, in a peasantry household. Accommodation- in a hotel of Sibiu.

DAY 10 – a trip towards the center of Transylvania; we will visit the Reformed churches from Slimnic and Biertan and also the citadel of Sighişoara. Dinner and accommodation in Sibiu.

DAY 11 – after breakfast, we will begin our trip on the Olt. We visit the Monastery of Cozia and the Monastery of Curtea de Argeş and The Artificial Lake of Vidraru. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel of Curtea de Argeş,

DAY 12 – going towards Câmpulung Muscel, then, through the Gorge of Bran, to Sinaia. By visiting the Castle of Bran, we will remember the name of the legendary Count Dracula, whom the castle is always connected to. Then, a short walking in wagons drawn by horses would bring you back in time. After it, dinner and accommodation in Sinaia.

DAY 13 – a trip to Braşov, the famous city named Kronstadt, with its Black Church. Going back to Sinaia, we will visit the Peleş Castle. Dinner and accommodation in Sinaia.

DAY 14 – towards Bucharest; we will make the tour of the town and visit The Village Museum and The National Art Museum of Romania. Dinner in a Romanian traditional restaurant and accommodation in a hotel in Bucharest.

DAY 15 – after visiting the Palace of the Parliament, we will leave for the airport, for your departure.
