The Easter Holiday

The Easter is the holiday of light and happiness. To the Romanians, Easter represents, along with Christmas, the most important religious event of the Orthodox Calendar.

Price/person starting from 320 €
Extra payment for single 90 €

Included
• accommodation and half board and lodging, in hotels of minimum 3 stars;
• all the hotel rooms have phones, TVs and shower baths/ vats and mini bar;
• travelling by a local coach having its own bar and toilet;
• the trips and entrances to the touristic sights described in the program.

An escorting guide for the whole time of the circuit, speaking the foreign language known by the group.
Facilities: for every 20 paying persons, a free place in a single room is provided.
Special remark: The group is made of minimum 20 persons. For the smaller groups, the price can be recalculated.

DAY 1 – arriving on the Airport of Bucharest, where the group is taken over by the Romanian guide who will take them to the hotel, for dinner and accommodation.

DAY 2 – after breakfast, we will take the itinerary Focşani – Bacău - Piatra-Neamţ, where we will also celebrate Easter. In Piatra-Neamţ, we will stay for 3 days.

DAY 3 – a trip to the monasteries of Agapia and Văratec. We will visit the Museum of Nicolae Popa, a folk artist who is very famous for his masks. After this, we will come back to the Hotel of Piatra Neamţ, after which we will celebrate God Resurrection in the Monastery of Bistriţa, near Piatra Neamţ.

DAY 4 – in the first day of Easter, we will visit the city of Iaşi, with its Three Hierarchies Church and The Metropolitan Cathedral, where we find Saint Parascheva’s relics. Returning from Piatra Neamţ, we will have a festive dinner organized containing some food, specific to the Romanian Easter.

DAY 5 – leaving for Braşov, through the Gorge of Bicaz. We will visit the city of Braşov, with its famous Black Church. We will have dinner at the Restaurant of Şura Dacilor of the health resort called Poiana Braşov, and accommodation in one of the hotels in the resort.

DAY 6 – leaving for Sinaia, visiting The Castle of Peleş, after which, back to Bucharest, for the final night in Romania.

DAY 7 – before the tourists’ transfer to the airport, we will make a tour of Bucharest and visit The Village Museum.

Note: The visitation program of the city of Bucharest will be set depending both on the arrival and the leaving hour, being possible for it to be partially developed in the first and in the last day.
